I have only taught Jade once (this year) but I feel very lucky to have taught her. She is a hard-working and (very) sweet student who comes up from City School to take class with us. All the students who come from City School to my class seem to have some shared qualities: they are very appreciative of any assistance I provide. They are deep thinkers. They are very composed and mature. Jade fits this mold perfectly. Not sure what they are doing down there in City School, but they sure have some nice students.
Jade has a hidden talent! She is a Circus performer! How cool! Unfortunately, I was not able to see her show this year but - if you give me some warning Jade - I would love to come next time (I believe the performances are right down the street from me! Easy!!).
Thanks for coming up to the third floor for Math this year, Jade. Most days, after silent reading (as I would sense someone walking into class), I would turn, ready to see who was late for class (and ready to do some "disciplining" hahaha). Instead, it would be you, walking quietly to your seat. Soooo much nicer to see you each class then some student slinking in late. I hope to see you again in the future and I wish you the best of luck!!
