Jackson was new to our school last year and, on the very first day of class, SOME students (mainly Grace!) were giving him a hard time about moving from Alberta. I believe they were actually calling him "Alberta" that day.
"Uh-oh", I thought to myself, "this guy is going to lose his patience pretty quick".
But he never did. Jackson is a laid-back, even-tempered guy. He is not the sort of person to get flustered or upset easily.
Jackson was a good Math student. He found things difficult at times but he always asked good questions and made sure he understood the material. And when I did provide him with assistance, he ALWAYS made a point of thanking me warmly. Such a nice guy.
And such a smart guy. Jackson is well set-up for the future. He already has a job in his area of interest (computers) and will be starting school (back in Alberta) next week. He's getting experience, connections, and expertise in a focused area of interest. Talk about a recipe for success!!
Thanks for your kind words and warm nature, Jackson. I only taught you a year but I will remember you very fondly. All the best to you and take care!
